Kevin Jackson

I am an experienced and well-regarded barrister with over 30 years’ experience, and I specialise exclusively in family law concerning children and harassment or domestic violence between couples.

I am known for my ability to manage difficult and complex cases including those involving serious allegations, and will work closely with you to ensure that you have a clear understanding both of the issues in the case and the court procedure. I pride myself on my exceptionally good client care skills – working hard to reduce the stress of court proceedings and giving you objective and realistic advice.

Clients have described me as a persuasive court advocate, using my knowledge of the law and of the case in order to achieve the best outcome for them.

“We have regularly instructed Kevin Jackson who has achieved some very good outcomes and received excellent feedback from our clients.”

“You have really helped me and made me feel safe with you. Your advice was always spot on and excellent.”

“Thank you so much for your help with this. You certainly had a calming and reassuring effect throughout the process. I am immensely grateful for the overall outcome, credit to you of course.” [Mrs. C]

“I would like to say how pleased I am with the work that Mr. Kevin Jackson provided for me. Not only was Mr. Jackson efficient and helpful, he also helped me feel at ease on a very stressful day and had an extensive legal knowledge which helped provide me with a favourable outcome at court. I would recommend Mr. Jackson to anyone looking for a barrister” [Mrs. W]

Private Law (Child Arrangements Programme)

My clients include parents, grandparents or other family members in cases which may involve issues such as:

  • who the child should live with
  • what time the child should spend with each parent or with other family members
  • applications for permission to take the child to live abroad
  • issues concerning the child’s education and who should pay school fees.

Where you have separated or are in the process of separating, I can act for you if you and the other parent can’t agree – for example on who your child should live with, or what periods of time they should spend with their other parent. Your challenge may simply be that you are having difficulty reaching an agreement, but I also act where there are allegations against you or the other parent of domestic violence, physical emotional or sexual abuse or allegations of alcohol or substance abuse.

Using other areas of my expertise, I can help where you or the other parent wants to move abroad with your child, or where you can’t agree on aspects of their upbringing such as education, school fees or religion.

Family Injunctions

I represent adults who are or have been in a relationship together where there are allegations of harassment or domestic violence which require injunction orders or orders determining who should occupy the family home.
